Belgian Aeropress Championship 2023

Wednesday 13th of September was held the BAC 23’ Brussels qualification at Kafei Korner, where 27 contestants were expected to show their best recipe based on a coffee specially prepared for the competition.

The Belgian competition took place in 3 Belgian cities for the qualifying rounds, each in a different region, organized by Wide Awake and the final was held on September 16 2023 in their roastery. The winner receives a ticket for the World aeropress championship in Australia.

More than 50 people came to cheer their favorite barista, enjoyed refreshments from Brussels Beer Project, music brought by a DJ and an awesome MC.

There were 10 rounds of 3, in which judges Rob (from Caffenation), Senina (ex-coffee roaster and co-founder of wideawake) and Mariana (from Otara specialty coffee roastery) chose a winner per round. All these winners will now go forward to the finals on Saturday September 16, to try their luck at becoming Belgian champion and representing their country at the world championships in Australia!
